Doodling Through Luke 10 - Part 3

And now that you're all caught up, let's get started with the third and final segment in the series!

But the Lord answered her, “Martha, Martha, you are anxious and troubled about many things, but one thing is necessary. Mary has chosen the good portion, which will not be taken away from her.”
— Luke 10:41-42

We can all go around like little Marthas, worrying about this and that, trying to please or impress him or her, and trying to please or impress God. We can make Plans B and C while doing everything in our power to ensure that Plan A never fails, fussing over details and spending all of our time working hard for the world or working hard for "the cause".

Don't lose sight of Jesus; our reward is in heaven and will not come from this world.

Through all of our good works, all of our busyness, and through all of our efforts though, if we're losing sight of Jesus -- if we're overlooking the fact that our reward is in heaven and will not come from this world -- then we're missing the point entirely.

All of our good deeds, favors, words... everything should be done in the light of our Savior.

Check your true motives and focus on Him, not on what you're doing.
