Question 24: In one word, how would you spend the last month of your life?
Maybe I'm just in a certain way right now, but sometimes these Daily Happiness questions make me feel rather sad. I don't want to think about the last month of my life, really. How do I know it's the last month? Am I ill? Do I somehow just know I'm going to be hit by a car at the end of the month? Did God one day decide to give me a heads up on my impending death, just so there weren't any surprises, or something? Morbid. Anyone with me on this?
Anyway, sorry. I digress.
Question 24: Somehow, you know you only have one month left to live. In one word, how would you spend the last month of your life?
My Answer: In one word: joyfully.
I'm sure the intended answer would have explained in one word what I would do for the last month of my life, but I'm going with this, the answer that describes how I'd be sure to feel during the last month of my life: joyful!
There are so many things that bring me joy, and I could squeeze all of these things into a month, easily. In fact, I do, already: quiet time to myself; crazy, loud, exciting playtime with my family; one-on-one time with each of my boys and with my husband; reading, writing, painting, lettering; studying the Bible; going on roller coasters and waterslides (okay maybe I don't already do this every month); going to the movie theater and eating popcorn and candy until I think I'll burst; snuggling up on the couch; talking with my husband about life and all of its crazy surprises until 3am; painting my nails; meditating to worship music, singing; the list goes on.
So, yeah. In one word, I would spend the last month of my life joyfully.
