Question 10: Are you proud of what you are doing or of what you have done?
My Answer: While there are many, many things I've done and said that I am not proud of -- from my past and my present (because let's face it - every day is a struggle for everyone, on some level) -- there are some things I am proud of too.
What I want to do here though is to insert the words 'thankful for' in place of the words 'proud of', because while it is okay to love how He made you, and to recognize and own your abilities and qualities, inserting the words 'thankful for' in place of the words 'proud of' will turn the focus from yourself to your Creator.
I'm thankful for my ability to adapt, and I'm thankful for my joyful approach to life, no matter what it brings (my "big picture" outlook). I'm thankful for my ability to feel deeply, because it makes me a more compassionate person. I'm thankful for my ability to truly listen, and for my desire to spend quality time with quality friends. I'm thankful for my servant's heart and for my ability to serve.
How about you? What are you proud of today, that you can be thankful for?
